New period dignity plans at Glastonbury 2024

May 28, 2024

This year Glastonbury has teamed up with WaterAid and Hey Girls to help everyone at the Festival manage their period with dignity.

New for the 2024 Festival, WaterAid will provide four period-proud stations at Glastonbury – based at women’s urinal sites – offering a private space equipped with sinks, warm water and soap to clean reusable period products; helping people to choose how they manage their period.

WaterAid’s Period-Proud urinals can be found at:
The Pyramid Field, near the Cider Bus at the top of the field
The Stone Circle
Bushy Ground Campsite
Paines Ground Campsite

The Festival is also working with UK period product social enterprise, Hey Girls, to make organic and sustainable disposable tampons and sanitary pads, available for free for everyone who needs them.

These can be found at all information points and women’s urinals. Operating on a buy-one-give-one scheme, for every product Glastonbury has funded at the Festival, Hey Girls will provide one to someone in need, through their community partnerships (including food banks, schools or other programmes).
